Privacy and data protection

OKPlus Privacy Policy — How We Protect Your Personal Data

This OKPlus Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we need it, how it may be used, and the choices available to Filipino members. We believe privacy information should be practical and easy to understand, whether you are opening an account, making a PHP payment, or simply browsing OKPlus.

Effective date: 1 January 2025

Please read this policy carefully. By accessing OKPlus or registering an OKPlus account, you acknowledge the data practices described here. This policy should be read together with the OKPlus Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not submit personal information or continue using the platform.

1. About this OKPlus Privacy Policy

OKPlus provides online gaming and account services for eligible members in the Philippines. To run those services properly, OKPlus needs to process certain information about visitors, registered members, payments, devices, and account activity. This Privacy Policy describes those activities in plain Philippine English so you can understand what happens to your information.

The policy applies when you browse OKPlus, register an account, log in, join a game, place a wager, claim a promotion, use a payment method, contact support, or exercise a privacy right. It applies across poker, boxing betting, football betting, bingo, jackpot slots, fishing games, and the OKPlus refer-a-friend programme.

Personal data means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It may include your name, mobile number, identity document, payment information, IP address, account records, or gaming activity. Information that has been irreversibly anonymised so it can no longer identify a person is not treated as personal data.

2. Information OKPlus may collect

OKPlus collects only the categories of information reasonably needed to operate accounts, process transactions, meet compliance responsibilities, protect the platform, and improve member experience. The exact information collected depends on how you use OKPlus.

Account and identity details

When you register with OKPlus, we may ask for your full name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, residential address, username, password, and other registration details. We may also collect government-issued identification, a photograph, proof of address, or similar verification material where identity or age checks are required.

Payment and transaction records

When you deposit or withdraw in Philippine Peso, OKPlus may process payment method details, transaction references, amounts, dates, account holder names, and the status of each transaction. Supported options shown in an account may include GCash, Maya, GrabPay, Coins.ph, InstaPay or PESONet bank transfers, BDO, BPI, UnionBank online banking, and eligible Visa or Mastercard cards.

OKPlus does not need to expose complete banking or card credentials to ordinary platform staff. Payment providers may process certain financial details directly under their own security controls. OKPlus retains the transaction records required for account reconciliation, fraud checks, member support, and legal compliance.

Gaming and account activity

OKPlus may record logins, wagers, game selections, deposits, withdrawals, bonus activity, wins, losses, session duration, account limits, self-exclusion choices, and interactions with responsible gaming tools. These records allow OKPlus to settle games, maintain accurate balances, investigate disputes, identify suspicious conduct, and support safer play.

Device and technical information

When you visit OKPlus, systems may record your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, language preference, approximate location, login time, referring page, and technical events. This information helps OKPlus keep sessions secure, troubleshoot errors, prevent unauthorised access, and present pages correctly on mobile and desktop devices.

OKPlus uses account and technical information to deliver a consistent experience across sports betting, casino games, and mobile devices.

3. How OKPlus collects information

Most information is provided directly by you. This happens when you complete the OKPlus registration form, update your profile, submit verification documents, choose a payment method, contact support, join a promotion, or set responsible gaming preferences.

Some data is created automatically while you use OKPlus. For example, placing a wager creates a transaction record, logging in creates a security record, and opening a game creates a session event. Cookies and similar technologies may also remember preferences, maintain login sessions, or help OKPlus understand whether a page is functioning as intended.

OKPlus may receive limited information from payment processors, identity verification providers, banks, digital wallets, fraud prevention services, and legally authorised sources. Such information is used only where it is reasonably necessary to complete a requested service, validate account details, protect members, or meet applicable requirements.

4. Why OKPlus uses personal data

OKPlus processes information for clear operational, security, compliance, and member service purposes. Depending on the situation, the reason may be to perform the agreement with you, meet a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business purpose, protect vital interests, or act with your consent.

  • Creating and managing accounts: OKPlus uses registration details to open your account, authenticate logins, maintain your profile, and provide the services you request.
  • Confirming identity and eligibility: OKPlus may verify age, identity, location, and payment ownership to prevent minors or unauthorised persons from using the platform.
  • Processing PHP transactions: OKPlus uses payment and account details to credit deposits, process withdrawals, reconcile balances, and investigate failed or disputed transactions.
  • Providing games and settling results: OKPlus records wagers, outcomes, prizes, and promotional activity so balances and account histories remain accurate.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse: OKPlus reviews account, device, and transaction patterns to detect duplicate accounts, payment fraud, collusion, bonus misuse, or unauthorised access.
  • Supporting responsible gaming: OKPlus may use session, spending, and limit information to apply requested restrictions and identify activity that may require a safer-gaming intervention.
  • Responding to members: OKPlus processes support messages and relevant account records to answer questions, resolve complaints, and investigate technical issues.
  • Improving the platform: OKPlus reviews aggregated usage patterns and error records to make navigation, mobile performance, content, and account tools more useful.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. OKPlus may use essential cookies to keep you signed in, preserve security controls, remember language or display settings, and maintain a stable session while you move between pages. Without essential cookies, important OKPlus functions may not work properly.

OKPlus may also use functional or analytical technologies to understand page performance, identify broken features, and improve the way members navigate the site. Where consent is required, non-essential technologies should not be activated until the relevant choice has been made.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent login, account verification, payment, and game functions from operating correctly. Clearing cookies may also sign you out of OKPlus and remove saved preferences from that browser.

okplus
Technical information helps OKPlus maintain stable sessions and improve the way games display across supported devices.

6. When OKPlus may share information

OKPlus does not sell personal information. Personal data may be disclosed only where there is a valid operational, security, legal, or member-service reason. The recipient should receive only the information reasonably necessary for its role.

  • Payment providers: Transaction details may be shared with banks, card processors, digital wallets, or transfer networks to complete deposits, withdrawals, refunds, and payment investigations.
  • Identity and security providers: OKPlus may use specialist services to verify identity documents, detect fraud, secure logins, host data, or monitor technical threats.
  • Game and platform providers: Limited account identifiers and game records may be processed to deliver a game, record its result, and settle the correct prize.
  • Professional advisers: OKPlus may disclose relevant information to auditors, legal advisers, security specialists, or other professionals who are required to protect confidentiality.
  • Authorities and lawful requests: Information may be provided where OKPlus is legally required to respond to a court, regulator, law enforcement body, or other authorised government institution.
  • Business changes: If the ownership or structure of OKPlus changes, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate privacy protections.

Service providers handling data for OKPlus are expected to follow contractual confidentiality and security requirements. They should not use member information for unrelated independent purposes unless the law permits them to do so and they provide the required notice.

7. International data processing

Some technical, payment, verification, or game service providers may process data outside the Philippines. When this occurs, OKPlus takes reasonable steps to require safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances of the transfer.

These safeguards may include contractual data protection terms, restricted access, encryption, review of provider practices, and other measures intended to preserve the rights described in this OKPlus Privacy Policy. An overseas transfer does not remove the responsibilities that apply to OKPlus when it decides how member information is used.

8. How OKPlus protects personal data

OKPlus uses administrative, organisational, and technical measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, loss, disclosure, or destruction. Measures may include access controls, encrypted connections, system monitoring, account authentication, staff confidentiality duties, data minimisation, backup practices, and security reviews.

Members also have an important role. Use a strong password that is unique to OKPlus, keep one-time PINs private, sign out on shared devices, and avoid sending sensitive information through unofficial channels. OKPlus will not ask you to reveal your full account password through a message.

If you believe someone has accessed your OKPlus account without permission, change your password and contact the official OKPlus support channel promptly. Reporting an issue early allows security staff to review account events and apply protective restrictions where appropriate.

9. Data retention and account closure

OKPlus keeps personal data only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to legal, accounting, anti-fraud, dispute, responsible gaming, and regulatory requirements. Different records may have different retention periods.

Closing an OKPlus account does not always mean every record can be deleted immediately. Transaction histories, identity checks, self-exclusion records, security events, and complaint files may need to be retained after closure. Retaining a self-exclusion record, for example, helps OKPlus honour the member's request and prevent accidental reopening during the exclusion period.

When information is no longer required, OKPlus may securely delete it, anonymise it, or place it beyond ordinary operational use. Anonymised statistics may be kept for service planning because they no longer identify a specific OKPlus member.

okplus
OKPlus processes payment records in Philippine Peso and retains transaction information only as required for service, security, and compliance purposes.

10. Your privacy rights

Subject to the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its implementing rules, and other applicable requirements, Filipino data subjects may have rights concerning their personal information. A request may need to be verified before OKPlus can act on it, particularly when account, identity, or payment records are involved.

Right to be informed: You may ask how OKPlus collects and uses your personal information, including the categories of recipients involved.

Right of access: You may request access to personal data that OKPlus holds about you, subject to lawful limitations and the rights of other people.

Right to correction: You may ask OKPlus to correct inaccurate or incomplete account details after appropriate verification.

Right to erasure or blocking: You may request deletion or blocking where information is no longer needed or has been processed unlawfully, unless OKPlus must retain it.

Right to data portability: Where applicable, you may request certain electronically processed data in a structured and commonly used format.

Right to object or complain: You may object to certain processing or raise a concern about how OKPlus has handled your personal information.

To submit a privacy request, use the official support channel available through your OKPlus account or contact the site email shown in the footer. Please describe the request clearly. OKPlus may ask for information needed to confirm your identity and protect the account from fraudulent requests.

Some requests may be limited where fulfilling them would conflict with legal retention duties, fraud prevention obligations, the rights of another person, or the need to establish or defend a legal claim. If OKPlus cannot fulfil a verified request, the response should explain the applicable reason.

11. Marketing choices and account messages

OKPlus may send essential service messages about account security, payment status, material policy changes, verification requirements, responsible gaming controls, or operational interruptions. These messages are necessary for account administration and may continue even if you opt out of promotional communication.

Promotional messages may include information about OKPlus games, bonuses, referral offers, or member features. Where consent is required, OKPlus will use the selected communication channel only after the appropriate choice. You may withdraw a marketing preference through available account settings or by asking support to update it.

Opting out of promotional messages does not close your OKPlus account and does not affect your ability to access games. It may take a reasonable period for a preference change to be reflected across scheduled communication systems.

12. Responsible gaming and sensitive information

Information related to deposit limits, cooling-off periods, self-exclusion, or requests for responsible gaming assistance can be sensitive. OKPlus uses this information to apply account protections, respond to a member's request, meet applicable duties, and help prevent excluded play.

Responsible gaming records are accessible only where there is a genuine operational need. OKPlus does not use a request for support to embarrass or unfairly disadvantage a member. However, the platform may restrict access, stop marketing, reject a new registration, or retain exclusion information where those steps are needed to respect the member's decision.

13. Privacy of minors

OKPlus is not intended for minors. A person must meet the minimum legal age requirement stated in the OKPlus Terms and Conditions before creating an account or participating in gaming. OKPlus may request age verification and may suspend an account if the information supplied appears inaccurate.

If a parent or guardian believes that a minor has provided personal information to OKPlus, the matter should be reported through the official support channel. OKPlus will investigate, restrict the account where appropriate, and handle the information according to applicable legal and compliance duties.

14. Changes to this OKPlus Privacy Policy

OKPlus may update this Privacy Policy when services, legal requirements, security practices, payment options, or technology change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the latest version took effect.

Where an update materially affects member rights or how information is used, OKPlus may provide a notice through the platform or registered contact details. Members should review this page periodically. Continuing to use OKPlus after an update means the revised policy will apply from its stated effective date, subject to any consent requirement imposed by law.

15. Contacting OKPlus about privacy

If you have a question, complaint, access request, correction request, or other concern about this OKPlus Privacy Policy, use the official support channel in your account. You may also write to the website email listed in the footer. Include enough information for OKPlus to understand the issue, but never send your password or one-time PIN.

OKPlus will review verified privacy enquiries and respond within a reasonable period, considering the complexity of the request and any applicable legal timeframe. If you remain concerned after receiving a response, you may exercise any further remedy available under Philippine data protection law.

These six commitments guide how OKPlus handles member information throughout the account lifecycle, from registration and verification to payments and account closure.

Clear privacy information

OKPlus explains important data practices in straightforward language so Filipino members can understand what information is used and why it matters.

Restricted staff access

OKPlus limits access to personal data according to job responsibilities and genuine operational need, supported by confidentiality expectations.

Controlled data retention

OKPlus keeps information for the period required to provide services, settle disputes, prevent fraud, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Member privacy rights

OKPlus provides a process for verified access, correction, objection, deletion, portability, and complaint requests where those rights apply.

Review the policy, then manage your OKPlus account

Understanding privacy should be part of joining any gaming platform. Once you are comfortable with how OKPlus handles personal data, you can register a new account or log in to review your existing account information and preferences.
